Fun Pictures

Here are just some fun pictures from the last couple weeks.

This is a picture of Brooklyn playing dress-up. She makes a very pretty princess.

These pictures are of Brooklyn's first Krispy Kreme donut. Shipley's are our favorite donuts, but we went to Krispy Kreme for the experience. Brooklyn loves any donut!

My Birthday was this week and Brad made this cake all by himself. It is angel food cake which is not the easiest cake to make, but he did a great job. It was super yummy and I was so impressed.

Texas Bluebonnets

Since moving to Texas we have been excited to participate in the tradition of taking pictures of your kids in the bluebonnets that come in the spring. Last year, I took Brooklyn at the last minute and she wasn't too thrilled. They were definitely not her best pictures ever. This year I was only able to find a small patch, but I took some pictures anyways. These are my favorites and one from last year to compare. It is amazing how much difference a year makes. She looks so big!

Kansas Wins In Overtime

Brad is an incredible husband, and I am so thankful for him. Last night he was able to have a boys night out and it was an experience he'll never forget. The big dance was here this past weekend and Brad was able to go to the final game. (NCAA Basketball Tournament Final Four and Championship Game) It was a great game, Kansas came back from a 9 point deficit with 2 minutes to go and tied the game to send it into overtime. They eventually won and it was an incredible experience for Brad to be at the big dance. Here are some pics from the game.

As a side note, we always fill out brackets to see who will win. I did beat Brad pretty bad this year, but no hard feelings. :)

So last June my sister Heather had tickets to come out and visit. She ended up getting a job with USAirways a few weeks before the trip and it had to be postponed. Of course we thought with her working for an airline we would be seeing them soon and more often. That has not been the case, they have tried to come multiple times and flights always seem to be full. Finally the week after Easter my sister and her two boys Zach and Seth were able to make it San Antonio. They were only here for 2 days, but we had a great time. They got in about 1:00am Wednesday morning and it was a whirlwind trip. We spent Wednesday morning recovering, and afternoon at the zoo and downtown (riverwalk, alamo, mi tierra). Thursday we spent most of the day at the outlets, stopped at Rudy's, and went to the park. We had a great time and can't wait for them to come back and visit. Brooklyn loves her cousins and was so excited to have them to play with.

Kisses

Brooklyn has always been a very affectionate little girl. She loves to give kisses and hugs. A few weeks ago, Brad said his head hurt and asked Brooklyn to give it kisses. She grabbed him by the hair and gently pressed her forehead to his forehead. Anytime since then, if you ask for kisses on your head this is how she gives them. Not only the head though, it has slowly progressed to all the parts of her face. If you ask for kisses on your nose you get eskimo kisses. She will give you kisses on the cheek by placing her cheek to hers, don't forget both sides. Last night as I was putting her to bed our foreheads, noses, cheeks, ears and lips had to kiss. Then she said eyes. I have never given her butterfly kisses, but she gave me butterly kisses to both eyes. It cracks us up and is so adorable. My only reasoning for it is that you kiss lips with lips, so this must also follow for all of the parts of your face. She is still sticking to the face, we will see how it progresses.
