Girls Night Out

So I know it is kind of late, but a week ago some friends and I had a girls night out at the rodeo. It was so much fun, and I wanted to thank Amy for planning it. This post is for you since you weren't able to be there. We saw bronco riding, bull riding, barrel riding, cow roping, and then Gary Allen performed. It was a lot of fun and these pictures are for Amy who LOVES Gary Allen. We missed you! Thanks Shannon for the pics.

Sleeping Child

It is amazing what you can do with a sleeping child. I have to say, for almost two years we have had to put Brooklyn to sleep. Just recently we have left the room while she is still awake and slowly we are spending less and less time getting her to sleep. It is great! While I totally miss snuggling her, she makes up for it when she wakes up and we get so much more done. It is almost 4:00 in the afternoon and I walked out of the room at 1:10. Amazing! I know this isn't mind boggling news for all, but for us it is. I am so thankful for my sweet beautiful Brooklyn. Her sleeping longer and putting herself to sleep allows me to accomplish more during her naps, thus, giving her more time with us when she is awake. Today is a happy day.

Good Friends & Fun Times

I just have to say that I am so grateful for good friends. We went out to College Station this past weekend to visit our friends the Burtoldos. Lauren was one of my first friends when we moved here and I truly miss her since they have moved. It was so much fun to visit. Brad went golfing with Nate, Lauren and I saw a movie (27 Dresses, so cute!), and Brooklyn played at the park and rode a motorized toddler 4 wheeler with her friend Ryan. It was a great time. Here are some pics and a video of the kids playing outside.

Busy Times

I don't know what happened, but since August we have been so busy. I am looking forward to some much needed time at home. We have been to Vegas 4 times, Utah, Idaho, Disneyland, Tulsa, College Station twice, and Rockport just in 5 months. We are exhausted. They have all been a great time and I am thankful for the opportunity. Brooklyn is a super little traveler and pulls her "case" out whenever we pack. She tows it along behind her all by herself as well.
Getting off the plane home from Vegas last week Brooklyn towed her suitcase down the aisle of the plane herself, but she didn't just have her suitcase she also had her purse on her shoulder. Everyone thought it was so adorable, and it was. (Yes, I am totally biased)

This past trip to Las Vegas was to visit with family and friends and just take a break. It was a lot of fun. We didn't get up to the snow like we had planned, but it was a great time. We met up with an old friend, went out without Brooklyn, had some fun grandma and grandpa time, and spent time with all of our family. It was great and so fun to have Brad with us. Brooklyn and I have been the last two times just the two of us.

Here is a video of Brooklyn playing the piano, it is just so cute I had to include it. She flips the pages of the books, plays a few notes and then finds a new song to play. In between she talks about te pictures.
