Today Third Grade... Tomorrow the World

This girl right here blows my mind.  She does so much, and all of it so well.  She is brilliant and is always thinking about something.  She loves to play with her sister and create new things.  She is involved in so many things I am exhausted, but I am so thankful to call her my daughter.  She is responsible and kindhearted.  She has brought so much joy, love, laughter and pure happiness into our lives.  She strives to do whats right and be the best she can, always.  If I had to pick one person I looked up to the most, it would be her.  This gorgeous little red head is going to be a force to be reckoned with and I can't wait to see what she will do next.  I love you Goose!

Geezely Weezely

Best day ever! Or at least for Lexi it is. It's Wacky Wednesday and she could dress as wacky as she wanted. Lexi would probably dress like this everyday if given the opportunity. She is definitely a little Punky Brewster.

Conversation in the car after I picked up Lexi from school:
Lexi:  These pants have been falling off of me all day!
Me:  Well you can take them off when we get home.  Buckle your seat belt.
Lexi:  Ok
Me: (a minute later)  Buckle your seat belt so we can go.
Lexi:  Ok
Me: (30 seconds later) Buckle your seat belt Lexi now.
Lexi:  Geezely Weezely, I'm just trying to take off my pants!! (Yup, thats what she was doing.)

She kept her pants on after that and we finally made it home.  Everyday is an adventure!

And... she was soooo excited for today which is the 100th day of school.  She got to dress like a 100 year old lady and has been planning this for weeks.  So glad we didn't disappoint.  We had the cutest 100 year old lady ever in our house this morning (totally biased, but look at her!).

This Post is Brought to You By the Letter G

This week at VPK, Lexi is working on the letter G.  We were laying in bed this morning talking about what she wanted to bring to share day.

Lexi:  I could bring a giraffe.  I have two giraffes!

Me:  You do!  Which ones?

Lexi:  The one with the letter G on it and Safari (her beanie baby giraffe).

Me:  (Remembering she had another one)  Well, don't you have three?

Lexi:  No, that is Piggy.  Remember!  I pretend that one is a piggy and her name is Piggy.  Piggy does not star with G.  But my book Go Away Dog starts with G.

This kid has me rolling daily!!
