Happy Birthday Brad!

Happy birthday Brad! On Tuesday Brad turned 32. We celebrated on Saturday where he got a new set of golf clubs, went golfing with some friends, and then we went out to dinner as a family at PF Changs. We are so thankful for our husband and daddy. He is so good to both Brooklyn and I and we hope he had a good birthday. We love you Brad!

Just a quickie

Don't be shocked this is not some grand update. That will be coming soon. I gave my two weeks on Friday and when I finally finish working I promise to update the blog, but for now just a cute little story about Brooklyn. This is for all of you are out there that have been giving me a hard time.

The other night Brooklyn fell out of her bed for the first time. She is not a crazy sleeper by any stretch of the imagination and her head ended up where her feet should have been if she had just rolled. So I asked her if she was awake and playing and fell, or if she was asleep when she fell. This was her response and it cracked me up. She said, "The thing is, when I rolled off my bed, I was awake." Not earth shattering, I know, but the way she talks like a little grown up cracks me up. She is still 2 for 2 more weeks and she talks like this all the time. What two year old says, "The thing is..." I talked to her the next day when she was more awake and she said she had fallen off while she was sleeping and had been woken up by hitting the floor.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's in our house started with a party for preschool. The kids had a really great time. We decorated boxes to get our Valentine's in, made Valentine's for someone in our families, decorated cupcakes, and then exchanged Valentines. The kids all had a great time, and loved getting and giving Valentines with their friends.

On Valentine's Day, Brad came home with flowers and a heart balloon for both Brooklyn and I. Chocolates for Brooklyn. We ate heart shaped pizza together and then we had a babysitter for Brooklyn. Brad and I were able to go out to a movie, Confessions of a Shopaholic. It was a win-win for both of us. He loves Isla Fisher, and I love almost any type of chick flick. It was a nice relaxing night and it was nice to be able to go out on Valentines Day.
